Our bodies have an amazing capacity to heal- if we just let ourselves do what comes naturally. Healing happens naturally, when we place ourselves in the right environment. Soft light, pleasant music, healthy food, comfortable clothing are the basic components of the external environment. But attitude and behavior are the cornerstones of the internal environment. Change the habit of a negative mindset. Look and see the positive, and come from that place of being. By doing so, your body will release healing neurotransmitters and welfare emotions result, bathing your body in a soothing environment.
Notes From the Heart
Climbing the staircase
November 2nd, 2009Doing the work of healing is like climbing up a staircase. Short of breath, foot over foot. Arriving at a landing, you can pause, reflect, catch your breath, but guess what, more stairs. More work. A new set of problems to combat, a new level of intensity to be maintained but more power to be gained. After the needed rest on the landing, you might weigh your options: go back down, but what good would that really do? No, the key is to ascend by transcending. Go up the stairs with determination, endurance and humility because that is the way.
Healing From the Inside Out
October 24th, 2009Healing begins from within. Healing requires power, and within each of us is an unlimited source of power ready to be called to action. When you are ready you can come from a special place of willingness, where you can muster enough power to do what it takes. From the mindset of determination, you will have enough power to align the synchronicity necessary to find the right doctor, get on the right medicines, begin the right therapy program. The treatment techniques are really less important than the state of being that says I will, I can. Beingness is the source that drives the engine. Doing the hard work then follows, building inner integrity. When you are willing you are ready. When you commit, you will have the needed power. A motivated and inspired spirit can do wonders with its physical body. A Body powered by a determined spirit is inspired, elevated, awesome, and awe inspiring. Good Luck!
Reversing Narcotic Dependency
October 11th, 2009In the trenches of patient care, faced with patients in pain, narcotics can be a boon which can quickly become a curse when use escalates out of control and spins into addiction and dependency from inappropriate protracted use. At some point in a treatment plan, it may be more empowering to take medications away, than to increase doses. . .but that titration away from such forceful medications is tricky business. The key principle of success is willingness.
Emerging from addiction and dependency on narcotics requires that the powerful state of willingness be reached. It takes courage and personal strength to transcend debilitation. The perception of pain can be accompanied by the dancing partners of helplessness and hopelessness and can lead to a bottom leading up to the miracle of willingness to try life without…it is in giving up the drugs, that personal power is gained and an empowering solution can be plotted. Where the willing mind goes, the body follows…
The Power of Apology
October 5th, 2009Spoken from the heart- “I am sorry” carries power; especially when authentic. Most of us are blessed with the opportunity for growth which often comes with pain. Emotional forces held inside as pride and anger do not serve our health. I have heard it called emotional poison. When you are able, get to that authentic place of power, and deliver a heartfelt apology where it is deserved. It can be a path to better health. And you give another an opportunity to forgive; an opportunity for them to add power to their own immune system, and improve their own mood and well being.
Pills, Power and healing
September 28th, 2009Medical science is powerful. Medications can assist physiological transformation and should be embraced as part of the recipe for improvement. Medications are powerful, and can assist in the process of symptom management. We all access internal healing power the moment we intend to feel better and we each add to our own power in the act of doing something about it. So treat your symptoms, take your medications. Step one: use science as an ally-take the prescribed medications. Step two: know you have the power to heal. More to follow on power principles that assist in healing…
Today’s gift
September 21st, 2009Today I saw it again: helping hands to heal a heart. Today I met a sister caring for her beloved sister, incapacitated with an incurable medical condition. With hope, we offered them a rehab bed, to work with a team of therapists to teach standing, use of a wheelchair, all in hopes of returning home. I am humbled by her selflessness, and I know that there is a special bond there. That is what Healing Heart to Soul is about: The special bond between life and health and the transformation as two share strife and hope as they soldier on.
Launch Party 9/12/09
September 14th, 2009Healing Heart to Soul had a launch party on 9/12/09 in West Hampton Beach N.Y. A big Thanks to Rosana and her apostles for the extraordinary effort in putting the event together, and for being the message: Heart and Passion thrill our lives and nurture our spirit. From this place, good things come.
Welcome!
September 4th, 2009Healing Heart to Soul is intended to help.
I have come to understand that healing is truly a spiritual process that affects us all. I invite you to become aware of the layers of life that contribute to health and wellness, injury and disease and I invite you to walk the elegant journey of the soul in awareness. The work of your soul exists in every day life. You have to find it where you see it, and see it where you find it. Sounds simple, but oh so difficult. Sometimes I know I cannot see the forest because the trees are in my way. But vision is crucial. And awareness is the first step. Healing Heart to Soul is intended to help you see life framed within a more dynamic context, and hopefully, with expanded awareness, you will give yourself the gift of peace.
And yes, you might physically feel better, too.
